If you thought Hitman 3DLC and level import couldn’t be more confusedWell, buckle up. IO Interactive announced on Tuesday that later this month Hitman 1, 2 and 3 merge into one Payed assassin to rule them all is called Hitman Murderworld. But there will still be different versions and several DLC packs. you can buy

Here’s how IO Interactive explains it in a new blog post:

From January 26, 2023, the following changes are planned to come into force.

  • Hitman 3 will become “Hitman World of Assassination”, which will also include access to Hitman 1 and Payed assassin 2 through our existing access system. Current Hitman 3 owners will receive a free upgrade to Hitman World of Assassination on all platforms.
  • We are making the buying process much easier for new players. Hitman Murderworld will be the only option available to start the game.

It makes sense? I didn’t think so.

In general, who owns Hitman 3 by January 26 will automatically have access to Hitman 1 and 2 and also free of charge, regardless of whether they have purchased them before or not. Who hasn’t bought yet Hitman 3 In the future, there will be only two options for buying: Murder world ($70) and Murder World Deluxe Package DLC ($30). The idea is to get rid of the six different versions you can currently buy on Steam, not counting 12 separate DLC add-onsand make sure all players work with the same set of stages, especially in the freelance game mode.

This is the natural end to IO Interactive’s attempt to anchor everything Payed assassin content from years of episode and sequel releases on the same online service platform. But it also means Hitman 1 and 2 will no longer be sold individually, and not all DLCs are included in the transition from January 26th to Murder world. $30 Deluxe Package which includes Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack, Hitman 3 The Seven Deadly Sins Compilationand Hitman 2 Expansion Passwill still be optional and separate, and players will pay $10 for each part they don’t already own.

In short: if you haven’t jumped on Hitman 3 train yet, now is a good time. The game, one of the best of 2021, costs just $21 on Steam for the next few days, and costs just $28 on the PlayStation Store Deluxe Edition. There is no sale on Xbox right now, although the trilogy is on Game Pass. And, unfortunately, the cloud version Hitman 3 on the Switch it’s just not that great.

It’s not clear what’s next Payed assassin franchise, as IO Interactive is also currently hard at work on a new James Bond the game. Whatever happens to Agent 47 in the future, hopefully it won’t take half a dozen blog posts to explain how to buy it.
