The Japanese Super Nintendo World, located at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, looks like a place where dreams are born. It boasts an assortment of gorgeous Nintendo-themed jewelry, a couple of rides, more merchandise than you could ever afford, and more, but it certainly had its problems.

Things did not go well when, just a month after opening, the park was forced to close due to a significant spike in COVID-19 cases in the area. In the summer, a large decoration of the Goomba Tower fell, prompting an investigation to ensure the safety of visitors. And now a fire broke out on one of the park’s attractions – fortunately, no one was hurt.

As reported FnnThe fire was noticed by one of the park employees late in the evening on November 23, after all the park’s visitors had already left for the day. An employee called Japan’s emergency services and reported a fire in the ceiling of the covered section of Yoshi’s Adventure.

After investigating the cause of the fire, the park closed its doors to the public today, November 24 – Universal Studios Japan notes that the park will open tomorrow, November 25, but Yoshi’s attraction will remain closed.

It was recently confirmed that the park will soon be expanded with a Donkey Kong-themed theme, offering visitors more to see and do as they head over to visit.

We hope that they can find the cause of the fire and prevent similar events in the future. Before you ask, Bowser is not considered a suspect.
