80s-inspired Nirvana combines F-Zero racing with a romantic visual novel
RedDeerGames and developer Dev9k have announced that the action-packed, romantic visual novel and racing game Nirvana is coming to Nintendo Switch tomorrow, May 6th!
Nirvana is a new version of Nirvana: Pilot Yume from 2020, but without some of the more flashy and daring scenes from the original game. It’s a homage to classic DOS-era racing games with a twist, but sorry, you’re offering us fast-paced futuristic racing and we can’t help but think of F-Zero. Imagine a date game with Captain Falcon…
The low poly graphics, metal wave music, and anime style art remind us of some of our favorite 80s mecha and space anime shows, so we’re more than intrigued!
