30 Next Nintendo Switch Games To Expect In 2021


We’ve updated the list below with some new announcements and removed the Switch 2021 games that are coming and going already. Loads to wait!

2020 is just a faint and distant memory (at least, we want it to be!) and it’s time to look to the future. We’ve seen some fantastic games come to Change last year – many of them were released within a week of their surprise announcement – but we’ve also seen some big names coming out in 2021, for understandable reasons.

E3 2021 it’s over too, and we’ve seen some great revelations about what Nintendo has in store for Switch in the second half of the year. Below we’ve added thirty (ish) of the biggest Switch games we expect in 2021. In no particular order – albeit vaguely chronological – do they manage the range from first-party AAA offerings to promising indies, plus a a few big names that have been waiting on the wings for a while and have the chance to release this year (fingers crossed!).

Mario Golf: Super Rush (Switch)

Publisher: Nintendo / Developer: Camelot

Release Date: June 25, 2021 (USA)

Introduced in the Nintendo Direct in February 2021, this is the long-awaited return to the fairways for the best of the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario Golf: Super Rush is set to feature long RPG elements along the lines of the celebrity Mario Golf on the Game Boy Color, plus a new spin on the game in the titular Super Rush mode, which has more players running around the course on Nintendo taking ‘speed golf’. Sounds manic and funny yes the trailer it’s something to happen, and we can’t wait to get into the swing of things.

We like a good spoiled march, then we will take a 3-wood and hit the rivers June 25th.

This game was launched on other consoles last year, and it has been confirmed for Change back in February. Scheduled to strike June 25, 2021, Pro Skater by Tony Hawk 1 + 2 it will take you twenty years to a time when your knees were in better shape and you always dreamed of pulling a 720 °. Unless you’re a frustrated youngster, in this case you have the chance to recover the first two installments of one of the most influential sports series ever.

Release Date: June 29, 2021 (USA)

Disgaea 6: Challenge of Destiny is an exclusive Switch in the West (in Japan it will also receive a PS4 version) and will be the first entry in the series of offbeat turn strategies to use 3D models. He certainly won’t lose any of his personality, with his irreverent brand humor, adorably crazy characters and leveling up and damage numbers that go to eleventy-stupid.

All in all, it’s shaping up to be a classic dose of Disgaea goodness from developer Nippon Ichi Software, and will be available on your Switch in June 29, 2021.

Coming from Thatgamecompany, the dear friends critically responsible for the sublime I travel, this new adventure game has been available on mobile devices for some time and was scheduled for Switch back in the summer of 2020. It came a whole year later than expected, ma Heaven: Sons of Light will finally see the light of day on Nintendo’s console June 29, 2021.

Monster Hunter Rise isn’t the only new entry in the Capcom series coming to Switch in 2021. No, portable spin-off Monster Hunter stories receives a Switch-based sequel called Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin, as well.

Adopting the same art style seen in the original 3DS, Monster Hunter Stories 2 will present a strong narrative focus, and presumably retain the simple RPG mechanics for which the sub-series is known. The protagonist, Monster Rider, befriends the monsters in the series rather than killing them to make a tail feather cap, so it will offer a different flavor of the goodness of Monster Hunter-y next to the more traditional entries in Switch when is launched in July 9, 2021.

Release Date: July 6, 2021 (USA) / July 9, 2021 (United Kingdom / EU)

The latest entry in Nihon Falcom’s action-RPG series has been announced for Switch in the West back in June 2020. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox had its English-language debut on PS4 of February, but it will be coming to Change July 6, 2021 in North America and July 9th in Europe.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (Switch)The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD (Switch)

Release Date: 16 Jul 2021 (USA)

Announced as part of the Nintendo Direct in February 2021, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD it reports the entry of Wii bespoke into the series with a high-definition paint finish, plus a newly-integrated stick-based sword as an optional alternative to the original gyroscopic controls.

While the slow start of this game, the compartmentalized world, and the required motion controls weren’t everyone’s cup of tea (not to mention the constant full of Fi tips and tricks), we have very fond memories of our time. with the game for ten years and we can’t wait to see how this Switch version compares. He throws himself on it July 16th.

Delayed from November 17, 2020 to early 2021 – and now with a July 20th release dateCrystals is an indie RPG from Dreams Uncorporated that seems to pay homage to the traditional JRPGs of old. The game has been in development since 2014, so a little more in the oven won’t make much of a difference.

“A delayed game is ultimately good, but a bad game is always a rotter, unless you fix the wazoo.” Some famous developers have said that, we are sure.

This next DS classic sequence The world ends with you it was a real surprise when it was first revealed by Square Enix last November, but very welcome. We have a Switch version of the original in the form of The World Ends With You: Final Remix, although he still had the feeling that the game worked better on DS – it will be nice to see how this new game works on a system for which he is thinking. NEO: The world ends with you launches in Switch on July 27, 2021.

Originally ‘TBC 2020’, to revelation of No More Heroes 3 it was exactly what fans of Travis Touchdown’s original Wii games wanted to hear, and this sequel seems ready to deliver the full-blown, laser-cut Touchdown experience. Suda51’s Wii originals they already are available on Switch, then there is the time to recover before the trilogy is formed August 27th.
