10 Bizarre Manga You Should Read If You Love The Chainsaw Man

The Promised Neverland, written by Kayu Shirai and artist Posuka Demizu, is arguably one of the best new horror manga of the decade. It follows the life of a group of children in a dystopian orphanage called Grace Field House. The carefree lives of these children change when they learn the truth about their older siblings’ auspicious “proms”. It turns out they have animal-like brands on their necks, and all the time they spent testing their mental toughness was spent so they could be used as food for the creepy creatures living outside of their compound. Needless to say we will never need chicken escape anime because The Promised Neverland already exists.
What follows is a game of lies, deceit and mind games as its main characters, Emma, Ray and Norman stage a prison break from their orphanage. First season of The Promised Neverland the anime is a damn near perfect adaptation, but my advice to people is to skip the second season of the show and read the manga instead. For some reason, CloverWorks decided to speed up the source material and skip almost 60 manga chaptersincluding fan favorite golden pond arc. Yish.
