If you haven’t had a chance to get the COVID-19 vaccine yet, here’s a good reason to schedule your first dose. On Friday, White House COVID-19 Coordinator Jeff Zientes hinted that the injection may soon become a must for people wishing to fly domestically to the United States.

Asked at press briefing, Biden administration vaccine or testing mandates May become mandatory for domestic flights soon, Zients told reporters that this measure may very well be part of the “follow-up” planned by the White House in response to the coronavirus in the country.

“Overall, I think we have a very good track record that shows we are using the leverage we have to vaccinate and not taking any action,” Zientes said.

These comments appear to be in line with tougher tactics the White House is using against hesitant masses of vaccines grouped by country. On Thursday, Joe Biden announced a six-part plan designed to contain a re-outbreak of the pandemic across the country, and much of that plan included vaccine requirements.

Under these new proposals, coronavirus vaccines will be mandatory for overwhelming majority federal employees and enterprises with more than 100 employees be obligatory or mandate vaccines for all of its employees or check these workers weekly. Companies that fail to comply with this rule, according to the proposal, will be subject to fines of $ 14,000 for violation, although there will also be a grace period for compliance.

In addition to this, Biden’s plan included more severe punishments for travelers who violate TSA mask requirements – an increase in the minimum fine to $ 500.

Indeed, can you blame the Biden administration for some of these tougher tactics? At the time of this writing CDC Records show states such as Alabama and Idaho report vaccinations for less than 40% of their citizens, while states such as Missouri, Texas, and Georgia report less than 50%. While there is of course people who cannot get vaccinated against perfectly understandable reasons – as minors or suffer from certain autoimmune diseases – have many others in these states avoiding the jab for less than legal causes… With hope, some of the prescriptions make these never untethered people change their tune.
