If you’ve ever wanted a multiplayer game set in the Evil Die universe, you are close to getting your wish. Boss Team and Saber Interactive have split the first gameplay trailer for Evil Dead: The Game, and that’s what you should expect given the premise. Ash, Kelly and the crew must work together to fight the Deadites led by a rival player, who takes on the role of a powerful demon. Indeed, it is a Died to day-asymmetrical style title with a chainsaw hand and clever slogans by Bruce Campbell.
There is a lot of nostalgia involved. In addition to bringing together characters from all over Evil Die movies and shows, you can review familiar places and pick up pages from the Necronomicon. Oh, and there are more than a few brutal eliminations – including a particularly creative use of a shovel. The classic mix of excessive violence with humor remains intact, then.
U Evil Die the game’s release date is still pegged as generic “2021” despite an announcement last December. The title should reach out to current and previous generation consoles and even to the PC when shipping, however, so you should have no trouble rounding up friends to play.
