Now that Apple has inserted its M1 processor into an all-in-one desktop computer, the new iMac is thinner and lighter than ever. Devindra Hardawar has found that it makes an ideal family PC, with a Touch ID-enabled fast switching, fast performance, an impressive 24-inch display and a design that flashes personality.

Of course, there are some trade-offs, with a limited number of ports available and specific that do not meet what professionals are looking for. It doesn’t come at a good price either, and breaking down RAM or storage becomes expensive quickly, but without a lot of strong competition for PCs, this iMac stands alone.
