The Flash Brings Nora and Thawns Back in Final Season

CW Flash the show is on eight seasons now with my ninth and final season blow in just a few days. Quite typical of recent seasons of shows that know they’re about to end, The CW is bringing back how many actors from the history of the show as much as possible, and recently announced another trio in the ensemble.
Actors Jessica Parker Kennedy (Nora West-Allen/XS), Rick Cosnett (Eddie Thawne) and Matt Letcher (Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash) will return for the show’s final season, according to Entertainment Weekly. Of course, this is not so surprising: all three characters were guest stars in the previous game. Flash season for an episode or more, and Letcher also appeared as Thawne in seventh (and final) season from Legends of Tomorrow last year. His character was killed off in this series, but who is Eobard Thawne if not someone who manages to cheat death despite looking pretty convincingly dead?
Speaking to EW, showrunner Eric Wallace revealed that the return of all three actors last season was always in the pipeline. He mentioned that Thawne’s appearance was “special” that had been planned for some time, and that it would be “a wild and bittersweet episode”. Wallace similarly teased Kennedy’s return as Nora, saying she “takes her incredible portrayal of Nora West Allen to even greater heights than audiences have ever seen before.”
At the time of writing, other guest stars around the world Flash nine year history includes Arrow alumni Stephen Amell and David Ramsey, former Kid Flash Kanan Lonsdale and John Wesley Shipp. The final season will also feature some cast members from the larger Arrow universe, as Nicole Maines and Javisia Leslie return as their Dreamer and Batwoman characters. However, Leslie is also said to be playing another character whose identity has not been revealed at this time.
Flash Will begin its final season on The CW on February 8.
