The OnePlus 9 Pro is up against stiff competition from Apple and Samsung, and that’s more than most competing smartphones can say. If you’re looking for a different type of phone with all the premium features typically found in a smartphone made by the usual suspects, the OnePlus 9 Pro might fit the bill. But like the flagships of Apple and Samsung, the 9 Pro doesn’t come at a good deal with a starting price of $ 1,070. But Amazon has it 9 Pro for $ 100 less now, bringing it to $ 970 – the highest price we’ve seen since launch. And if you want to spend even less, regular OnePlus 9 it’s on sale for $ 650, or $ 80 off its normal price.
U OnePlus 9 Pro we were impressed with its complete set of features and (for the most part) excellent cameras. While it was more slim than previous models, the 9 Pro doesn’t look drastically different from other OnePlus smartphones and that’s a good thing. It has a beautiful 6.7-inch, 3,216 x 1,440 AMOLED screen that supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness up to 1,300 nits. OnePlus also includes a slew of customizable screen parameters that can help you do things like get the best mobile gaming experience or increase battery life when needed. The IP68 phone also has two speakers, a microSIM card slot and a Warp Charge compatible USB-C port.
OnePlus has partnered with Hasselblad on the 9 Pro’s rear camera series, which includes a 48-megapixel main camera, 50MP ultra-wide lens and an 8MP telephoto lens. Overall, the system produces beautiful images with true colors, and is capable of capturing video up to 8K 30fps. Our biggest gripe was with the telephoto lens, which had a tendency to take overexposed images in bright environments.
Fortunately, we haven’t had any complaints about the performance of OnePlus 9 Pro. It works with a Snapdragon 888 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory, and there’s very little that the combination of specifications can’t handle. The highly responsive display of the 9 Pro also helps the smartphone to feel ever faster. Battery life is also good enough that the 4,500mAh dual cells last at least a full day without sweating, and you’ll get even more juice if you leave the display in Full HD.
