At one event eri sera, Tesla has unveiled its first EV 25s on the Plaid Model S while CEO Elon Musk has announced all the news that will give it more speed and scope. He also demonstrated in-person performance to several journalists to show what appears to be 0 to 60MPH in 2 seconds.
Musk emphasized that the Plaid Model S is not only fast, but offers repeatable performance thanks to a new heat pump and a radiator that is twice as large. “You’re really going to be able to go back 0 to 60 years, go on the track, just shoot ass,” Musk said. “This car can do it over and over again and it won’t get rich.”
In addition to this, Tesla said the new heat pump offers 30 percent more power in cold weather while using 50 percent less energy for heating. “You’ll see very little degradation in cold weather,” according to Musk.
He also reiterated the performance features and specifications, noting that it can hit 0-60MPH in 1.99 seconds, go through the quarter mile in 9.23 seconds and hit up to 200MPH, thanks to the new 1,020-horsepower tri-engine system. . At the same time, it provides 390 miles of EPA range and will allow you to add 187 miles in just 15 minutes thanks to a faster charging system.
Why the need for this extreme speed? “We’re going to show that an electric car is the best car, hands down,” Musk explained. “It needs to be clear that sustainable energy vehicles can be the fastest cars, the safest cars, they can be the fastest cars anyway.”
Other upgrades for the Model S Plaid include a new 17-inch horizontal touchscreen, with a frame of digital instruments behind the wheel. Passengers also get a third screen behind the center console with a “legitimate rear seat,” Musk said, describing the previous Model S seat as “not amazing.” It also offers dual inductive chargers at the bottom and front with a 36-watt USB-C power supply that can recharge phones, tablets or laptops. And, of course, it comes with a powerful new processor that can run AAA games on these screens up to 60 fps.
It also comes with that famous one flying in June style and without physical controls to select driving modes. Rather, it will automatically switch between park, reverse and vehicle as default, with a touchscreen option for manual selection. “I think, in general, all the input is a mistake,” Musk said.
Tesla released the first 25 Plaid Model Ss at the event, and promised “several hundred a week soon,” with plans to ramp up to about 1,000 a week for the next engine. It is priced at $ 130,000 after Tesla increased the price by $ 10,000 eri.
