Panic’s Playdate laptop will cost $ 179 but will come with more games

It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything about it Playdate, Panic’s small handheld game handheld, but that’s about to change. On June 8, 2021, the company will debut a 15-minute video showcase in its own right YouTube channels which will give you a lot more details about the device, an eye to the games included with it, and how exactly to get your hands on one.

Panic also announced some bad news though; the Playdate is now priced at $ 179 instead of the initial $ 149. The company says this is largely from the massive global shortage of electronic parts caused in part by the pandemic. However, to compensate for the price difference, Panic will include twice the number of “Season One” games that come bundled with the device (24 instead of 12) and will double the amount of internal memory (4 GB instead of 2 GB) also.

According to the company, the Playdate Update video showcase will be a 15-minute pre-recorded presentation that will include an update on pre-order information, a look at the Season One line of games and “much more” . However, we were told that pre-orders will not go live immediately after the video is released.

“We are all working quietly without stopping to implement all the complex pieces of the Playdate puzzle, and finally we are ready to show you what we have done,” Cable Sasser, co-founder of Panic, said in a press release.
