For a console designed to play almost anywhere, the Nintendo Switch mysteriously doesn’t support wireless headphones despite having Bluetooth connectivity.… You either had to connect your headphones with a wire, or connect the wireless headphone adapter… Bbut with just released switch update 13.0.0, then The switch finally supports Bluetooth audio devices.

Nintendo of America is simple announced a new feature on his Twitter account,Although one would assume that the company would go for more promotion of additional features, given that Switch gamers have been asking for built-in Bluetooth audio support for years. Better late than never?

After installing update 13.0.0 new Bluetooth audio a section will appear in the switch settings menu under Controllers and sensors, with a simple Pairing your device option, as well as a list of restrictions, which are also detailed in new support page on the Nintendo website… With a Bluetooth audio device connected – whether it’s a pair of wireless headphones, earbuds, or a speaker – the Switch can only connect wirelessly to two controllers at a time. It means four-player Super Mario Party battles are out of the question. Bluetooth audio devices will also be disabled when two switches are connected locally for wireless multiplayer.

The switch also allows only one Bluetooth audio device to be paired at a time, although it can remember connections for up to 10 different devices at the same time. The console also doesn’t support microphone on wireless headphones or speakers, presumably because the voice chat feature on the Switch already depends on the smartphone app, and Nintendo warns that gamers may experience audio lag depending on the type of Bluetooth audio device being used. … These are significant restrictions, and this is probably why Nintendo did not enable this feature at launch. But with Switch, everything is in the teeth, and the holidays come up with only OLED switch as a new hardware option, it is an upgrade that makes the original switch more attractive to those who haven’t bought it yet.
