Matrix Resurrections Trailer Syncs With Original Movies

The Matrix: Resurrectionthe new trailer is less than what we can expect from return trip into the cyberspace of the Matrix and a lot more about what it means everything looks so familiar … not a big difference

Warner Bros. released another mysterious new look in Lana Wachowski’s legendary return to the iconic Matrix saga, and although there really isn’t much in the way new footage from Resurrection it is a fun and cleverly stylish way to draw parallels with previous stories. Oh, and Keanu Reeves is looking at the cat … again.

Apart from the familiar cyber-felines, this is quite an interesting and interesting thing. The alternation of moments from the new film with similar episodes from the first three films does more than offer stylistic parallels between the two. Resurrection and its predecessors, but also offers a gripping narrative question. It’s titled “Deja Vú” for a reason, as the trailer is punctuated with a modulated, repeating line of familiar dialogue from Carrie Ann-Moss’s Trinity. from the original film: “Deja vu is usually a glitch in the Matrix. It happens when they change something… »Return to original MatrixTrinity explained to Neo that the black cat he saw walking past them at the Lafayette Hotel was an indicator that the code of the Matrix itself was being rewritten around them, indicating that the Agents were playing on their tail.

But pulling it out for use here in Resurrectionespecially since we are invited to use all these moments of acquaintance in all four films, and we wonder how much of what we see in the next film depends on our ability to choose moments and ideas that we have already seen before, and what does it mean when they are replayed in the Matrix all these years later. After all, Lana Wachowski does want us look beyond the surface of the mirror reflected on us behind Resurrection… How deep does the rabbit hole go?

We will know when The Matrix: Resurrection hits theaters and HBO Max on December 22nd.
