India has reported more than 300,000 deaths from covid-19, the third highest number of deaths in the world behind the United States and Brazil, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. of India. Monday. Officially, the number of deaths in India is 303,720, also public fear health experts the actual number is probably much higher.

India has seen more than 26.7 million cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic, with more than 222,000 reported on Monday alone. The number of daily cases is fortunately much lower than it was two weeks ago when cases totaled more than 400,000 each day, but it is still testamentally high.

More than a third of the covid-19 deaths officially documented by India have come only from the last 26 days, according to the BBC remarks. Lag deaths report positive cases that have been reported in the community, so it makes sense that we are seeing an increase in the number of deaths from people who were tested positive for the first week ago.

Interestingly, some people are not taking serious public health measures in India at the moment. A viral video revealed a couple in Madurai rented a private one plan for themselves and at low pressure 160 guests so they could have a wedding while they were in flight and not have to comply with any coronavirus restrictions on the ground.

The pandemic is not over in most of the world, as can be seen from India’s horrific daily death toll. But there will always be people who simply can’t wait to return to “normalcy” —and potentially endanger their family members in the process.

India has vaccinated more than 196 million people, according to a vaccination tracker maintained by the Times Hindustan, with more than 942,000 people vaccinated just yesterday. And while these are impressive numbers, they are still painfully slow for such a large population. India has more than 1.3 billion people.

The United States has recorded more than 33 million cases and 589,893 deaths since Sunday, according to Johns Hopkins University coronavirus tracer. Brazil recorded a record number of deaths with fewer cases, both likely reported as well, with 16 million cases and 449,068 deaths.
