Fallout 76’s Battle Royale mode was obtained in September

As it turns out, not every game needs one mode after all. Almost two years to the next day Nuclear Winter, taking on the genre, Bethesda Game Studios says it will stop mode in September due to declining player interest.

Although many players entered Nuclear Winter in the early days of the mode, since then, “we’ve seen the vast majority of players prefer to explore other aspects of the game,” the development team wrote. . “It has also become harder to put together nuclear winter lobbies without even making sacrifices on the waiting times of matches.”

Bethesda also found it challenging to continue working on “significant updates” for the mode while developing updates for Adventure Mode at the same time. The developers have acknowledged that some will be disappointed by the move and say they are working to include other player vs. player options. There will be more information on new ways to play the game later this year.

To try and replace it by killing the nuclear winter, Bethesda will give players perk coins based on their level and how many Supervisor Tickets they have earned. Everyone who finishes at least one game will also receive a Nuclear Winter-themed banner. Many of the prizes that players can earn for royal battle games come in Adventure Mode, so they won’t be obtainable after Nuclear Winter is axed.

Fallout 76 will be presented at the Sunday, where the dev team will share some details of what’s to come in the road game. Meanwhile, if you’ve been curious Fallout 76 but I haven’t checked it out, you can play the entire game for free until June 16th.
