Bruce’s musical “Jaws” to hit Seattle next year

Bruce the new Seattle Repertory Theater musical based on Jaws memoir by screenwriter Karl Gottlieb Jaw log

Bruce 26-year-old director Steven Spielberg intends to adapt the bestselling novel, JawsDeadline reports, in the show music by Richard Oberaker and words by Oberaker and Robert Taylor.

This isn’t the duo’s first rodeo as they are the team behind the Broadway musical. Stagewho follows the veterans of the military after their return from the war. Bruce directed and directed by Donna Fiore, who is best known for her work at the Stratford Festival.

The show was supposed to debut in the summer of 2021, but pandemic postponed the premiere. The performance will begin on May 27, 2022 at the Bagley Wright Repertory Theater in Seattle, and will premiere on June 1, 2022. will last until June 26, 2022. Actors and creative announcements to come soon

Synopsis Bruce reads as follows: “During his invasion of a sleepy fishing island off Cape Cod to shoot in the open ocean, he faced several challenges, including weather, water, hostile locals, an exploding budget, endless delays, and a highly dysfunctional mechanical star named Bruce … to bring your vision to life in what has proven to be one of the greatest successes in film history. “


Bye Bruce is an adaptation of a book from a film, the trend of turning films into musicals outside of Broadway cinema is not new. The first thing that comes to mind is Evil Dead… The show was held on stage in 2003 at the Tranzac Club in Toronto, Ontario. The show became an instant hit and eventually went to Broadway at New World Stages in 2006.
