BMW’s future electric scooter is out of the anime

When we see it BMW’s CE 04 electric scooter concept last year, it looked like something was being pulled directly from a science fiction movie. Now the company has revealed the final consumer version of CE 04, and while it’s lost some of its fantastic advantage, it still looks like a vehicle that would be right at home Akira o Ghost in the Shell. Aimed at the urban community, the CE 04 features a 10.25-inch LCD screen (it’s bigger than it is in most cars!), Up to 81 miles in range, and a top speed of 75 mph. . It will be available in 2022 for about $ 16,000. It is twice the price of the Electric Vespa, but this is also a much slower vehicle intended for even more casual users.

Just keeping an eye on the CE 04 makes it clear what BMW is looking to achieve. It’s a brand new concept that is meant to attract people who are interested in electric vehicles, but may not have the money or space for a real electric car. It can be recharged with a regular power plug or EV cable, and BMW claims that it can recharge quickly after being fully charged in an hour and 40 minutes with a level 3 power connection. However, even if you don’t have the setup of more fantastic charging around, BMW says it can express itself in four hours and 20 minutes with a standard home outlet.

While we wait for more details on the prices of the CE 04 and the optional accessories, you can expect to see a reduced output model with a range of about 62 miles (100Km). That more expensive model will also be rated between 15hp and 30hp, while the standard can reach 42hp. Both versions should be well-equipped for city traffic, too, with the ability to reach 31 mph in 2.6 seconds.
