Amazon reveals first look at sci-fi detective series

It was some time since we’ve heard anything about Brian K Vaughan’s Amazon adaptation and Cliff Chang’s live action graphic novel series to critical acclaim, paper girls. But from today Free Comic DayAmazon must have decided that now is the perfect time to get your first look at the mysterious sci-fi show coming soon to Prime Video.

For those who didn’t read the series when it ran from 2015 to 2019, the story goes like this: It’s Halloween 1988, and while delivering papers along the way, four girls get caught up in a war between two different groups of time travelers. one of which is called “Old Timers”. As they inevitably cross paths with their future selves, some of them wonder how it all ended and are faced with the chance to change their future while still dealing with the war they are now called into. The teaser trailer mainly focuses on four teenage girls and hints at some of them. emotional calls they will run during the first season.

Lead cast titled Paper Girls – Riley Lai Nelet as Erin Tang, Sofia Rozinski as Mac Coyle, Camryn Jones as Tiffany Quilkin, and Fina Strazza as KJ Brandman. Other than the four girls, only two additional actors have been revealed: Ali Wong will play adult Erin from the future, and Nate Corddry (new girl) will play Larry, a hermit the girls meet along the way.

With how successful Amazon has been in getting others graphic novels to the small screen, fans of the source material will hopefully see this hold true when paper girls premieres on Prime Video later this year.
