Fandango film commentator Erik Davis, explains why this box office victory for a Quiet Place is a big deal:
We can all be happy about the rebirth of going to the movies, but many are still wary of entering a theater that we are still in a pandemic. According to Our World in Data, only 41 percent of the population in the United States are completely vaccinated today, which is still a cause for concern.
Vaccinated people can attend cinema without wearing masks, but who keeps track of who is vazzed and who isn’t? Individuals should be vigilant to protect their health because clearly, you cannot trust everyone who walks around without a mask.
A quiet place II is in theaters now and will be presented in Paramount + in July.
