This week, US News & World Report published its 13th annual ranking of the best hotels for travelers.

Ranking published on Tuesday, are based on three factors: the number of awards received from the travel industry, the hotel’s rating, and guest reviews on the Tripadvisor travel website.

The report only ranks “luxury” hotels and resorts, which US News defines as those that consistently average 4- to 5-star ratings, though it now includes some 3.5-star hotels, the company said.
