Brooklyn Nets endorsed Infinite Acquisition Corp, which filed for a $ 200 million initial public offering on Wednesday.… Infinite will sell 20 million shares for $ 10 and will refund the money to investors if it does not purchase the company for a public offering within 24 months. SPAC, also known as Blank Check Company, is created to raise capital through an initial public offering to acquire existing companies. The funds are deposited into an escrow account for two years, and once a trade is discovered, it is presented to investors.

Investors can exit if they don’t approve of the offer. But if the deal is secured, investors can also get share warrants – options to buy shares in the new company acquired in the future.

In 2020, the bookmaker DraftKings used a blank check for a public offering of shares.
