Cramer Week Upcoming: Busy Reporting Season Continues

CNBC’s Jim Cramer said on Friday he expects a tough start next week after a dismal end to April in the stock market.

“I hope next week will be better. I have to tell you, I’m not looking forward to a good day on Monday. get a bounce, and what you need to do is sell that bounce,” said the Mad Money host.

The Nasdaq Composite Technology Index fell almost 4.2% on Friday, while the S&P 500 fell 3.6%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell nearly 2.8%. Nasdaq and S&P 500 closed at new yearly lows.

Cramer said he will be keeping an eye on US jobs reports next week.

“Perhaps the number of jobs peaked because companies that were hiring extra workers to insure them during the worst days of the pandemic started laying off workers.” he said.

He also announced next week’s earnings report and shared his thoughts on each company that reported. All earnings and earnings estimates are provided by FactSet.

Monday: Clorox

Clorox

  • 2022 Q3 Earnings at 4:15 pm ET; Conference call at 4:15 pm ET
  • Projected earnings per share: 93 cents.
  • Projected revenue: $1.79 billion.

Cramer said the company needed to report decent numbers in order to push the battered stock higher.

Tuesday: AMD, Airbnb, Starbucks.

AMD

  • 1Q 2022 Earnings Statement after close; conference call at 5:00 pm ET
  • Projected earnings per share: 91 cents
  • Projected revenue: $5.01 billion.

“Given how far semiconductor stocks have fallen from their highs … even a quarterly rate could send them to a standstill,” Cramer said.

Airbnb

  • 1Q 2022 Earnings Statement after close; Conference call at 5:30 pm ET
  • Projected loss: loss of 25 cents per share
  • Projected revenue: $1.45 billion.

Kramer said he thinks Airbnb has a “great story to tell.”

Starbucks

  • Q2 2022 earnings report after close; conference call at 5:00 pm ET
  • Projected earnings per share: 60 cents.
  • Projected revenue: $7.62 billion.

While the quarter has likely already felt the impact of China’s Covid lockdowns, union activity could further hurt the company’s operations, Cramer said.

Wednesday: CVS Health, Moderna

FAC Health

  • 1Q 2022 earnings report before opening; conference call at 8am ET
  • Projected earnings per share: $2.16.
  • Projected revenue: $75.54 billion.

Cramer said he was interested to see how the company would benefit from Covid vaccines, saying he thinks consumers have recently rediscovered the company’s stores.

Art Nouveau

  • 1Q 2022 earnings report before opening; conference call at 8am ET
  • Projected earnings per share: $5.37.
  • Projected revenue: $4.2 billion.

“These guys have so much money from their Covid vaccine, but now they need to do something to expand their portfolio. It can’t be a one-trick pony,” Kramer said.

Thursday: Zoetis, DoorDash

Zoetis

  • 1Q 2022 earnings report before opening; Conference call at 8:30 AM ET
  • Projected earnings per share: $1.23.
  • Projected revenue: $1.98 billion.

Cramer said he was confident the company would report big numbers.

DoorDash

  • 1Q 2022 Earnings Statement after close; Revenue call at 5:00 pm ET
  • Projected loss: loss of 21 cents per share
  • Projected revenue: $1.38 billion.

“If DoorDash doesn’t hit smartly, it’s ‘the lookout below,'” Kramer said.

Friday: under the armor

Kramer said he plans to heed the call, but believes Lululemon is the current winner in the industry.
