Dr. Anthony Fauci said The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is considering including a negative test in its five-day isolation guidelines for Americans infected with Covid but showing no symptoms. “I think we will soon learn more about this from the CDC,” the White House chief medical adviser said Sunday. The CDC received a significant scrapping from last week’s updated guidelines that cut isolation times from 10 days to five. The FDA said last week that preliminary studies show home rapid tests detect a variant of the omicron, but may have reduced sensitivity.

5. Airlines are canceling more flights to the US as tourist travel problems continue.
